LABORATORY OPENING HOURS
Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.30
Saturday 08.30 - 12.30
Sunday 09.00 - 13.00
The laboratory department operates an on-call service only outside of these times.
In ALL cases, emergency medical advice is available if required throughout 24 hours; Consultant Microbiologists can be contacted via the switchboard [(0161) 998 7070].
The medical staff offer advice on the diagnosis and management of patients with infections, including control of infection in hospital. Additional advice in specialist areas, including meningococcal infection and virology, can be obtained from the Health Protection Agency Laboratory based at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
