Specimen type	F. Urine for Tuberculosis
	Optimal time of specimen collection	Early morning urine samples are occasionally useful for the diagnosis of TB.
	Correct specimen type and method of collection	Three early morning urine samples should be sent when TB is suspected. Less than 3 samples is inadequate and will not normally be processed for TB. Relevant clinical information must be provided on the request form.
	Laboratory analysis	Cultured for Mycobacteria.
	Transport	Refrigerate specimen if any delays.
