The following tests are performed by Biochemistry:
Vitamin B12, folic acid and ferritin assays.
Cryoglobulins (at 37ºC) and Haptoglobins.
Protein electrophoresis - serum sample.
Serum iron and TIBC, latter now estimated as transferrin.
Haemoglobin A1C for diabetic control is now performed by HPLC using an EDTA anticoagulated sample.
