Immunology

Reference ranges only given for tests done at Wythenshawe. Samples sent away have reference ranges provided on forms with results.

The following tests are performed by Biochemistry:

• Vitamin B12, folic acid and ferritin assays.

• Cryoglobulins (at 37ºC) and Haptoglobins.

• Haemoglobin A1C for diabetic control is now performed by HPLC using an EDTA anticoagulated sample.

• IgG, IgA, IgM electrophoresis
