Requesting and reporting of results
General report delivery
Laboratory reports delivery
The porters deliver reports to wards and departments once a day, at approximately 13.30hrs, Monday to Saturday.
In view of the availability of Pathology results on Sunquest Ice, there are no report deliveries on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Electronic requesting and reporting
Sunquest Ice is the electronic requesting and reporting system. Electronic requesting is available to General Practitioners who are able to see results on investigations that they have initiated and also those initiated within the hospitals on their patients.
Electronic requesting and reporting is available within the hospital:
From portal.htm, select "Sunquest ICE for laboratory and radiology results " in the left-hand panel under Clinical Systems.
Log in with your Novell user name and password.
Further information is available from the I.T. Department on Extension 2820.
Please note that you should only be accessing results which you have a clinical need to know. This is merely a statement of the Trust's policy on confidentiality. The pathology reporting system has an audit trail of who looked at which results. You are advised to log out from Anglia Ice (this does not require that you log out from Novell) before leaving the computer, so that nobody else can access reports in your name.
